Our Partners

National Opera Studio

Founded in 1978, and working in partnership with the six leading opera companies in the UK, the National Opera Studio offers expert, tailored training to a small number of exceptional opera singers and répétiteurs for free.

It supports them with all the musical, artistic, physical, psychological, and practical skills they need to survive in a long, successful career in opera. They leave the Studio with the artistry, confidence, and contacts to thrive in a lifetime of opera.

National Opera Studio Young Artists come from any background. They may have studied at a conservatoire or taken another path, but either way, they have exceptional talent and want to explore their creative boundaries in a safe, nurturing, but challenging environment. The intensity of the training programme is designed to create a working environment that reflects the professional opera world. The aim is to ensure that Young Artists have the skills, personal strategies, and strength of mental health that are needed for them to succeed today.

The Amar-Franses & Foster-Jenkins Trust is one of our most loyal and supportive funders. Its financial support for our Young Artists is invaluable, but it is not only that. It is the passion and involvement of the Trustees that makes this relationship truly special. They are a highly valued part of the NOS family.
